K.O.P. 32's Fusion EP, released on Czechia's Seismic Records, delivers a seamless blend of French tekno and contemporary IDM adjacent rhythms. Across four tracks, each underpinned by interstellar motifs, the Beyond the Bridge label head reinforces his position as a prolific and influential artist.
Seismic Rec, a multifaceted platform from Eastern Bohemia, Czech Republic, encompasses a label, party series, and festival all run by a group of friends with a passion for sculpting audio-visual experiences. After gaining global attention after their sold-out debut record, Spekki Webu’s ‘Kept in Reality’, they are now hosting a three-day festival in the outskirts of Prague featuring underground stalwarts like Ekkel and Nastya Muravyova.
Seoul-based K.O.P. 32 leans on his Parisian heritage in the Fusion EP to present a psychedelic odyssey for mind and soul. Also known as Pyramid of Knowledge, the producer and live act has an affinity for creating rich atmospheres accompanied by deeply layered percussive grooves. In 2021 a new chapter opened for him with the launch of Beyond the Bridge, a label that has been pivotal in exploring the borders of expansive psychedelia. From cassette tapes showcasing live sets deep in the Australian bush to mind-warping, ready to use sample packs, the label exudes the same ethos as its boss, a commitment to unearthing the depths of the human psyche through sound.
Minimal Collective’s premiere pick, ‘Yrots’, veers away from a club-centric approach, combining swirling synthesiser lines and ritualistic chimes with intriguing percussion, showcasing a style that has swiftly become synonymous with K.O.P. 32. Yrots delves into the subconscious, inviting listeners to explore its hidden depths as it leads them towards a state of 'Fusion'.
