Hohe and 04061, curators of Blende Hub, present their first collaborative release on the sublabel’s experimental grounds. While carrying the label’s deep signature, BLENDE03 also reflects the vision behind the platform itself, shaped by their need for a space beyond its conventions.
Cologne’s Instinkt.lab is known as the artist-run platform for club-focused releases and events. Out of the need to preserve artistic freedom while staying rooted in its own dancefloor driven origins, spun off label Blende Hub was initiated to facilitate a more experimental outlet. For this release the two key curators join forces for BLENDE03. The release is a clear representation of the sublabel’s central thread: a drone-infused approach to the deeper sides of techno that stays as close to its club origins as much as it moves away from it.
Adding to the release’s sequence, core figure Mod21 delivers his remix of Vulnerability. Picked as Minimal Collective’s premiere selection, it reflects the label’s spirit through club-driven undercurrents and moody drone layers.
