With her versatility on display, DINA turns inward through a soul-stirring suite of ambient works on <AIR WAYS>’ second outing. The Berlin-based trance virtuosa veers from the dance-floor-focused sounds many know her for with five stunning contributions to Alpha Tracks’ new label.
DINA is a name synonymous with the resurgence of 90's-era trance soundscapes. Through her seven-year-strong Boarding Gate radio show and acclaimed releases on Slash and Amniote Editions, she has carved out a space for emotionally resonant, high-intensity sound. But with Assembly, DINA shifts course.
Written during a season of solitude in the Andalusian mountains, Assembly marks DINA’s most personal release to date. Infused with strands of psychedelia, the record reflects the contours of both emotional and physical landscapes—moving through connection, clarity, and eventual release. Best experienced as a whole, each track flows into the next, revealing a more vulnerable side of her sound and weaving a narrative that feels deeply human.
‘I found a lot of answers in the mountains,’ DINA reflects. ‘If you ask, the winds will tell you.’
This release also signals a continued evolution for Alpha Tracks’ newly founded label, <AIR WAYS>. After featuring DINA in the February edition of his year-long digital release series, he brings her on once again. This time for the imprint’s second outing. Known for his prolific output and a dedicated global following, the Vienna-based artist uses <AIR WAYS> to carve out space for alternate works, those that drift beyond the club. Ambient, introspective, and experimental in nature, these are sounds that might otherwise have remained in the shadows.
Minimal Collective premiere’s Rift, Assembly’s dream-state apex. DINA crafts a moment of inner bliss as heavenly pads and effervescent synth patterns cascade.
