Dutch DJ and producer Eversines established his particular brand of genre-fluid electronic music for over a decade. With a focus on the energetic, yet dreamy side of electronic music, he invigorates dance floors with DJ and live sets across Europe and beyond. Besides co-running the Amsterdam-based record label De Lichting, Eversines released records on respected imprints like Kalahari Oyster Cult and Oberman’s Nous'klaer label.

On his upcoming album Dwang, Eversines revisits the psychological themes he explored on 2021’s Solvation EP. With each track, the listener is guided through a spectrum of emotions, from initial resistance over acknowledgement to eventual acceptance. Eversines crafts a sonic narrative of personal transformation through ambient, breaks, acid techno and trance. Dwang embodies Eversines’ vast production skillset and highlights his importance as a key figure in the current generation of Dutch producers specialising in emotionally charged yet dynamic dance music.

Embedded in the ocean-deep opener track ‘Bridge’, clearing the mind and the bright and optimistic closing track ‘Tussen Tijd’ (‘In Between’), Eversines skilfully evokes a fluctuating emotional process by controlling tension, catharsis, and relief across the album’s four sides.

On our premiere pick, ‘Fog’, Eversines does its title justice by creating a misty atmosphere through swirling melodies and murky low ends. The electrically-charged synthesisers carry the listener into a hazy climax of sound, whilst rolling low ends provide strength and assurance that brighter times will follow.
