Forest on Stasys, the owner of the Argentinean label Danza Nativa, brings his signature sound to the very first Mirror Tapes Worldwide. 12 tracks by 12 different artists pay tribute to 12 different natural spots or phenomena spread around the world. The organic approach of Forest on Stasys complements the ethereal character of the fresh Mirror Tapes label perfectly.
Mirror Tapes is a Melbourne/Naarm-based label, founded by the talented producer Adam McCoy aka ‘Citizen Maze’. The label focuses on electronic music that captures the ambiance and landscapes of the world around us while reflecting these places within the melody and music itself. Adam has been on our radar for quite some time now due to his extraordinary approach within his live sets, creating real sonic journeys. It is no surprise to see his vision expand into this newborn label.
Kabata brings some real dancefloor exotica to this first Worldwide VA record. 'The melody mirrored the landscapes that surround us', as the Mirror Tapes label puts it. The Buenos Aires-based producer Forest on Stasys truly incorporated some site-specific sounds in a comforting melodic banger.
