Copenhagen-based Matriark is an influential figure in the resurgence of 90s/00s psychedelic trance music. Often experimenting in an inner-city war bunker with the notorious Bunkerbauer crew, she also is a Drift Kyiv and Den Anden Side resident. As a DJ, Matriark thrives on big sound systems at forest parties across Northern Europe and at Australian bush gatherings like Woodburnia. In the studio, she pushes a relentless style of trance and tekno with mind-twisting sound design and driving dancefloor rhythms, which have now found a home on Blue Hour’s Omni.

Omni – meaning all-encompassing – celebrates a decade of Blue Hour Music, an integral label that has helped shape the modern approach to techno, trance, breaks and more. Swerving hypes, trends, and fads throughout its long-running tenure, the label exudes the same class as the visionary that helms it, Blue Hour. The Omni V/A welcomes artists from across the electronic music continuum, pooling a collection of; trance, techno, drum ‘n’ bass, and breaks connected by a sense of euphoria. Minimal Collective premieres ‘Golly’, a psycho-active cut with evolving bass textures that would be suited to forest and warehouse gatherings of any era.
