This VA is the third in a row of compilations through which the French Cosmic Wave Records focuses on artists close to the label, giving them the space to express their actual influences and mood freely. Through a wide range of genres and evoking the spatial dimension of electronic music, the album explores a continuous story in different styles, from drum-’n-bass to techno, with care for sound design and psychedelism.

Drawing on many years of experience as a producer since 2010, the French artist Mersel expresses himself through the production of deep psychedelic and downtempo techno music, enabling him to develop live performances with analogue and modular synths.

The premiere pick of the week, ‘Negative Option’ by Mersel, fixes a heavy groove with subtle alien pads and trancey basses.
