Louis Rapet also known as Sindh is a visionary producer and DJ spearheading a sound that traverses the borders of deep techno and trance. Finding influence in oriental approaches to music, Rapet merges his passion for modular sound experimentation with cult-like drum patterns, resulting in a hypnotic auditory effect. An integral figure in modern France, he has released on local labels including A-Biotic’s adored Terrasonic Vol 1. VA and recently unveiled the standout Katan EP on Cosmic Wave Records under his 9beats alias.

The first Opus in the Komodo Series narrows in on Sindh’s mystic ambiance with four tracks flickering through ritualistic patterns and drawn-out tones. From the transcendental spheres presented in Quake to progressive and tripped-out techno cuts in Liquefaction and Swarms, the EP highlights a varied palette of warped sound.

Minimal Collective’s premiere pick, Akureh, opens the release in a bewitching fashion as Sindh combines solid grooves with otherworldly character. Gathering momentum as the eerie journey unfolds, the track epitomises a contemporary take on psychedelic techno that is both functional and inherently trippy. Akureh is poised to be a standout at many late summer nights in the months to come.
