After years of refining a sound in the space between psychedelic techno and trance, Belgian producer Trillosta arrives on Oracle Bones with Abyss. The release extends the label's ongoing dialogue between the teachings of the I Ching and contemporary club music.
Over time, trillosta has become a strong representative of Belgium's psychedelic techno and trance landscape. Co-founding Aalst- and Ghent-based Ninety Three Collective, he moves between collective, label and event organisation while simultaneously distilling new influences into his sound. Trillosta's latest crossing is a tangible one, carrying his music from Belgium to The Hague for his debut on Oracle Bones, run by JEANS. Its catalogue pairs psychedelic club music with ideas of transformation, uncertainty and surrender, emphasizing both personal narrative and dancefloor function. Appropriately, Abyss follows the image of crossing the River Kǎn, where progress lies in moving through without letting uncertainty to resist.
Point Blank, Minimal Collective's premiere pick, offers a clear expression of trillosta's take on the Oracle Bones ethos. Psy-infused kicks weave through hypnotic motifs, translating the release’s conceptual framework into a club-focused tool.
