Originating in 2015 as a party series in Lyon France, Cosmic Wave Records now focuses on delivering its vision of psychedelic music for both the body and the mind. The Katan EP will be the tenth release on the imprint and continues to build on a leftfield approach to deep, spiralling techno.

9beats’ EP references the studies of Nikoden Pablawski, whose work states that the matter black holes absorb and seemingly destroy is expelled and becomes the building blocks for galaxies, stars and planets in another reality. The release guides the listener to a new reality, where time, space and gravity are totally different from our world, evident in tracks like Mental Disorder, where droning stabs are complexly layered alongside distorted vocal samples and grainy low-end synthesis.

Minimal Collective premieres Valentino Mora’s rephrase of Quantum Fluctuations, a spacier, techno-centric take on the original cut. Mora harnesses the celestial atmosphere of the entire 9 beats' EP,  encapsulating a thoughtful rhythmic vitality, designed to ignite mass euphoria on dimly lit dance floors.
