Søren Kinch, who operates under the alias CX, is the co-founder of Et Andet Sted, a now-defunct club in the Danish capital, and partner in Axces, the collective he shares with several of the city’s leading lights. In combination with his involvement in spaces and collectives, Kinch has significantly impacted the community around him and beyond through his work as a producer and DJ.

Formula, his latest EP on Axces Recordings, bears all the hallmarks of Copenhagen's progressing sound. Each of the four tracks features propelling kicks and trance sensibilities, tempered by dreamy synths that glide throughout.

This ethereal soundscape slowly unfurls throughout Plethora, Minimal Collective’s pick of the bunch. The track playfully reinvigorates a trance formula that peaked in the late 1990s, presenting it with a carefully packaged sheen suitable for the most discerning listeners.
