Pure Space Recordings is the label that spawned from Garvey’s weekly radio show on the esteemed community platform FBI. Since 2020, the imprint’s Home Listening Series has drifted towards the more introspective and exploratory side of the electronic spectrum, spotlighting artists like Jennifer Loveless, jobfit, and 黑芝麻 (Hēi zhī ma). Minimal Collective premieres ‘Three Minutes of the River’, a spoken word journey that revisits field recordings taken at the Bogong Centre for Sound Culture - a remote, independent cultural initiative situated in the foothills of Victoria’s Alpine National Park, four hours into the bush from Naarm/Melbourne. Breathing like the wind, the track catches a moment between a break in the rain as steam rises around surrounding mountains, a serene close to a stunning home listening experience.
