Pure Space Recordings is the label venture from the beloved radio show hosted by Andy Garvey, and produced by Mija Healey which has been broadcast weekly on Eora Nation (Sydney) radio station FBi Radio for over four years. The label focuses on Australian music both for home listening and club contexts. Together, the artists put forward a collection of contemporary electronics that provide a wealth of complexity for the ear while shaping the sound of local music.

The track Second Star by Mike Midnight & Lia T is one of the more ambient-oriented tracks that dominate the first half of the album, perfectly suitable for home listening. But don’t be mistaken, though. PROXIMITY II miraculously manages to gradually increase the BPM, in such a way that an evening on the couch is suddenly transformed into steaming basslines and breakbeats that may resound all night long.
