Dutch synth-wizard Nadia Struiwigh brings her eclectic live approach to Blueprint Records. On the Voxis Ohlun EP, Struiwigh reflects her profound command over synthesis and sequencing, crafting upfront techno with a vigorous, nostalgic feel.
Nadia Struiwigh is a name known for her multifaceted contributions to a variety of electronic music platforms. As a DJ, Struiwigh graced stellar gatherings such as Draaimolen Festival and was again named as a resident at Tresor for 2024. Her refined proficiency in production, particularly in the live space, establishes Struiwigh as a leading tech expert within the industry. A reputation that materialises across an impressive discography on labels like Dekmantel and Clone. A consistent collaborator with hardware brands and software giants, like Roland and Ableton, Struiwigh possesses an immense understanding beyond wires and circuits and a dedication to experimentation.
James Ruskin has long been a techno trailblazer since before starting his Blueprint Records label in 1996 alongside Richard Polsen. He has been, and continues to be, a staple fixture in some of the most influential clubs in electronic music and a key player in groove-oriented sound of the late ‘90s and early ‘00s. Ruskin, like Struiwigh, has also just been announced as a resident in the famed Tresor basement for next year, and with such musical harmony together, it comes as no surprise to see him extend an invite for the Voxis Ohlun EP on his label.
Minimal Collective’s premiere, Scroll Sorcery was crafted in Struiwigh’s Berlin studio with large input coming from her beloved Korg Electribe MX. From its first moments, there's an unmistakable kinetic ‘90s feeling fueled by bending low ends at the heart of the arrangement. The track undulates between moments of calm and intensity, with each wave pulling the listener closer to the dancefloor.
