Harmony Rec. celebrates its eighth birthday with a double EP compilation entitled ‘X pt. 1 & pt. 2’, involving all the artists of the label. The label’s veteran Shoal connects body and mind through hypnotic rhythm patterns and field recordings on the track ‘Laminar Flow’.
The Utrecht-based producer Shoal creates challenging and unique sonic landscapes, each of which is a winding river of emotions transcribed into music and a guided journey through both Shoal’s personal and auditive experiences. After several appearances in Prague, Shoal has been surging via HARMONY REC., a record label based in both Prague and Berlin. This label has been organising site-specific, audiovisual events since 2014 that transform into zones of sparkling joy and sonic enchantment.
As part of the B-side of pt. 1, the track ‘Laminar Flow’ exhales its freshness through groovy dancefloor-aimed loops, as opposed to the deeper and darker pt. 2 of the EP.
