The artist Vardae aims to create a universe where immersion and experience prevail over codes offering a journey through each newly released album. Echoes from Okavango is set in the Kalahari desert. ‘After hunting water as a Mirage for some days, you will fall on a San caravan that will guide you to the Meanders of the Okavango river. By following it, you will dream to end your journey above the ocean, but Okavango is the only river in the world that doesn't end in the ocean. You will just find yourself at your starting point, the hot Kalahari desert.’

Our premiere pick, Mirage, grabs us with an up-tempo yet muffled bass that gradually develops into an exploration of natural and unnatural sounds, resulting in an innovative and adventurous musical narrative.
